Antonio Balatbat, MD, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Antonio Ben Balatbat joined One Community Health in 2021. He has over 25 years of clinical and executive leadership experience, exemplifying and modelling practical servant leadership that span rural community development, university-based practice to an integrated multispecialty practice.

 

After finishing medical school at the University of the Philippines, he completed his residency training at the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Program in 1993, then pursued an infectious disease fellowship at UC Davis from 1993 to1995. Part of his training included working at the then CARES Clinic. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

 

As a practicing primary care physician, his current focus is on improving the patient experience, clinician wellness and resiliency, population health and value-based healthcare.

 

He joined OCH because of his passion for patient centered medical care and transformational redesign to improve care for the medically complex and underserved population in the community by addressing the social determinants of health through accountable team-based care teams.
