Brent Copen — Chief Financial Officer

Brent Copen serves as the Chief Financial Officer for One Community Health, where he leads financial strategy and operations to support high-quality, equitable, and sustainable healthcare across Sacramento and the Central Valley.

With more than two decades of executive experience in healthcare, technology, and nonprofit finance, Brent brings deep expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and operational effectiveness.

Prior to joining One Community Health in 2025, Brent held chief financial leadership roles at multiple Federally Qualified Health Centers in the greater Bay Area. In these positions, he strengthened financial systems, guided growth initiatives, and helped advance long-term sustainability in mission-driven care organizations.

Brent also serves as a lecturer at UC Berkeley. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, and his thought leadership includes The Nonprofit Business Plan and published case studies on financial management in mission-oriented organizations.

Brent’s commitment to financial excellence and community health has been recognized with honors such as the 2018 San Francisco Business Times CFO of the Year award for Nonprofit Organizations.
