February is National Heart Month
If you have high cholesterol, high blood pressure or diabetes, you can lower your risk for heart disease by taking charge of your medical conditions. Make sure you get your cholesterol levels and blood pressure checked regularly and if you have diabetes, monitor your blood sugar levels carefully. If you take medication for any condition, always follow your health care provider’s instructions and ask questions if you don’t understand something.
You and your health care team can work together to prevent or treat the medical conditions that lead to heart disease. At One Community Health, you’ll have a health care team committed to you and your family’s good health, including primary care providers, nutritionists, a full-service pharmacy, vision services and dental care.
