Measles
Important Measles Update for Our Patients and Community
February 12, 2026
We are closely monitoring increased measles activity in California and are taking proactive steps to protect our patients and staff.
The MMR vaccine helps protect against measles
Measles can spread through the air, so vaccination is an important layer of protection. Measles is a highly contagious virus that spreads through the air. Most people are protected through vaccination, but we want our patients and community to know what to look for and what to do.
If you or your child develops these symptoms: Fever and Rash, may also present with a Cough, Runny nose, Red or watery eyes, it is important that you call us at (916) 443-3299 to schedule an appointment instead of walking into a health center location.
This allows us to provide care safely while protecting infants, pregnant patients, and those with weakened immune systems.
If you are unsure about your vaccination status, our team can review your records. Californians can also look up their MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine status online using the Digital Vaccine Record (DVR) portal at myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov.
MMR vaccines are available at all our One Community Health locations.
We have protocols in place to safely evaluate and care for patients with possible symptoms. Your safety and the safety of our community remain our top priority.
If you have questions, please contact our Call Center (916) 443-3299.
