Optimizing Care for the Omicron Wave
With the surge in COVID-19 cases, One Community Health is optimizing resources to provide COVID testing for the people who need it the most. We are providing testing to patients who have COVID-19 symptoms and guidance for patients with concerns but who do not have symptoms to improve efficiency. We are also increasing telemedicine visits, pre-screening, and maintaining safety by encouraging fewer patients and family members on-site to reduce risk.
As more people are exposed to the Omicron variant, the demand for testing and clearance for work, school and housing is growing. We are prepared to help health care workers, essential workers, patients and the community through this wave.
Keeping patients safe and monitoring patients with COVID symptoms to prevent infection, severe illness, and to save lives are our top priorities. These guidelines will help protect you, your family and community.
If you are sick with symptoms of COVID-19
- Call the health center for a telephone appointment with our Respiratory Clinic staff who can advise you further
- If you come in for testing, bring only one person with you to the appointment and wait in designated areas or in your car as instructed by staff
- Walk-in appointments are limited and available only on a first-come, first-served basis
If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 but do not have any symptoms
- Consider a 7-day quarantine to see if you develop any symptoms
- Do a home test
- Get rest and drink fluids
