Screening Tests and Vaccinations Keep You Healthy
People ages 50 and older should see their health care provider for routine checkups and appropriate screening tests and vaccines.
Some common screening tests for men might include: Cholesterol test, diabetes screening, mental health screening, colorectal screening, hearing test and pneumonia vaccine.
Screening tests for women might include: Thyroid (TSH) test, blood pressure measurement, Pap smear and pelvic exam, colorectal screening and a mole exam.
Most people should also get annual flu vaccines.
Not sure what kind of screening tests and vaccinations you need? Your health care provider will let you know what screening tests and vaccinations are right for you and when you should get them.
